کاسه نمد(Radial shaft seal)  نوعی درزگیر می‌باشد که برای درزبندی شفت دوار و پوسته حاوی سیال استفاده می‌گردد. از نشت سیال به بیرون از پوسته جلوگیری نماید. Radial shaft seal بین دو جسم دوار که دارای حرکت نسبی هستند و یا دو جسم ثابت و دوار استفاده میشود. Radial shaft seal مانند هر درزگیر دیگر جهت جلوگیری از ورود گرد و غبار و همچنین خارج شدن روغن استفاده می‌گردد. Radial shaft seal قطعه ای متشکل از سه قطعه فنر ، واشر کاسه ای شکل فلزی و نمد فشرده است. کاسه نمد از متریال های متفاوت و در سایز و ابعاد متفاوتی تولید می شود. Radial shaft seal با توجه به نوع و جنس می تواند دمای ۴۰- تا ۲۴۰ درجه سانتی گراد را تحمل کند.
