دیافراگم لاستیکی صفحه لاستیکی یا پلیمری انعطاف پذیر می باشد که کنترل جریان بین دو فضا را انجام می دهد. به دیافراگم های لاستیکی، آب بند دیافراگم یا مهر و موم دیافراگم نیز می گویند. دیافراگم از انتقال نا خواسته مواد جلوگیری میکند، این مواد می‌تواند سیال یا انواع گاز باشد. دیافراگم های لاستیکی از متریال های متفاوتی ساخته می شوند. جنس دیافراگم های لاستیکی با توجه به نوع واسطه  و ماده ای که بناست با آن در تماس باشند  متفاوت می باشد. لاستیک دیافراگم مقاوت بسیار بالایی در برابر فشار و حرارت دارند و می توانند تا ۱۰۰ درجه ی سانتی گراد را تحمل کنند.

موارد فوق بسته به کاربرد و شرایط کاری استفاده می شوند.  لاستیک epdm در شرایط شیمیایی، آب شور، اوزون، مورد مصرف دارد. لاستیک Nr sbr در شرایطی که فشار زیاد باشد و مواد شیمیایی حضور نداشته باشند. لاستیک نیتریل nbr در فشار های متوسط و روغن های صنعتی کارکرد دارد. لاستیک وایتون viton  در اکثر مواد شیمیایی و حرارت های بالا و فشار متوسط کاربرد دارد. لاستیک نئوپرن noperan در مواد شیمیایی و فشار نسبتا بالا کارایی دارد و دمای متوسط را تحمل می‌کند. لاستیک سیلیکون silicon در دماهای بالا و خیلی پایین کارکرد دارد و در صورت نیاز به تحمل فشار بالای کاری حتما باید با منجید و الیاف تقویت شود.

دیافراگم های لاستیکی در صنعت نفت و گاز- کمپرسورها – محرکهای حرارتی – صنعت هوافضا – سوپاپ ها – تروشیمی و نیروگاه ها و…کاربرد فراوانی دارد.
